Portrait Photography in Southampton

Many of the couples whose weddings I photograph ask me to take portrait photographs of them and their families, and there is no bigger priviledge than to photograph the couple with their newborn baby. Don't let the heading above confuse you. Because I do wedding photography across the whole of the South of England I therefore provide portrait photography across the same geographical locations.

Having your portrait photograph done is a lot of fun. As I do with wedding clients the first thing will do is ensure that you are comfortable in front of the camera. You can then spend around an hour having fun in the comfort and privacy of your own home and have some unique photographs to be proud of.

I will bring a studio type backdrop or, if you prefer, your living room or garden will be the backdrop, making the shots all that more personal!

The charge for a home portrait session is £100.00, £50.00 of which will need to be paid at the time of booking. Included in the price is an A4 print of your favourite photograph from the session and a DVD disc in a presentation case containing all of the high resolution images (which can be viewed on most DVD players).

There is no set number of photos taken on a portrait sitting. I will take a variety of shots which will be discussed and agreed prior to your sitting. The actual number of photos taken is often determined by the willingness of subjects to co-operate (think..... 2 year-olds and teenagers!!) .

I have provided below a small selection of examples of some of the portrait photography that I have done. You will see that some have been done using a studio backdrop and others have been done outside with a natural backdrop.
